Easy Orange Jam

Gives you a sweeter spread....

Ingredients:

1 kg orange fillet

750g sugar, approximately

2 lemon juice

1 tablespoon orange zest

Directions:

    To prepare orange fillet, you have to peel oranges thickly to remove all the white pith, discard skins. Chop oranges roughly and discard the seeds.

    Place in a deep cooking pot, add the sugar then refrigerate for 1 hour before cooking.

    Stir jam constantly over heat without boiling until sugar is dissolved. Then, let it boil rapidly uncovered without stirring for about 20 minutes or until jam will jell when tested on a cold saucer.

    Add the lemon juice and orange zest. Stand 5 minutes, stir in brandy, pour into hot sterilised jars; seal when cold.
